Sophie is sorting letters addressed to the castle itself when something heavy grinds to a halt outside the front door. It's a cottage. It walked here.

Its owner, Tamsin Bell, is a bookkeeper who has followed her grandmother's house on foot for three days. She would very much like it to stop.
